If you thought the Festival palette I reviewed last week was an imaginative palette then think again. Those of you who are familiar with the Juvia’s Place brand would know that they don’t hold back when it comes to the colour selections for their eyeshadow palettes. This is one of the reasons I love them so much. The array of shades in each palette is so unique and this really excites me.
Today I’m sharing my thoughts on the Afrique eyeshadow palette.
Afrique Eyeshadow Palette
This is another palette that has the perfect combination of neutral shades and fun adventurous colours.
Our New Eyeshadow Palette has arrived. The Perfect Color Palette. A true representation of beauty, art and glamour. Consists of 12 highly pigmented shades.
I feel like all their packaging is a work of art. The craftsmanship is truly mesmerising and adds to the overall experience. There’s something so special when you reach for a palette but you first take time to admire the packaging. Perhaps I love it so much that I allow myself to have that moment, either way, it’s just BEAUTIFUL.
The outer packaging of this palette is neon orange and once again has this gorgeous African woman on the centre. When you open the palette you find this beautiful pattern in the shades of the actual shadows in the palette. How stunning?
Eyeshadows and Pigmentation
The palette contains 12 shadows, 7 of the shades are matte and 5 of them are shimmery/metallic shades. The array of shades in this palette is truly unique.
- Cote D’lvoire (matte cobalt blue)
- Dakar (matte burnt/dark orange )
- Niger (matte green)
- Togo (shimmer emerald green/jade)
- Bintou (matte burgundy)
- Cotonou (shimmer violet)
- Aya (matte lemon yellow)
- Cameroon (matte burnt mustard/caramel)
- Angelique (shimmer peach)
- Kisi (matte light tan)
- Fifi (shimmer cranberry)
- Kofi (shimmer medallion gold)
There are always shades that just stand out from the rest and Cote D’lvoire is such a vivid cobalt blue and I’ve seen so many people use this as a lower lash shade and it looks BEAUTIFUL. Togo is another stunning shade and my favourite in the palette. This emerald green has a gorgeous silver reflect that looks dazzling on the eyes. Aya is also another shade I’m loving. I love how bright this yellow is and yes it needs to be layer it a little to achieve full opacity but wowza, what a beautiful yellow.
This has to be one of the most unique palettes I own. The quality of the shadows are on par with all the others I’ve used and reviewed in the past.
The matte shades perform really well, even though they might not swatch too well. The Metallics are by far my favourite, they’re super soft and looked foiled without the help of a wet brush.
If you like to play with colour and feel like you would use these shades, then definitely go for it! You won’t regret it.
The best part is that these colours will show up on any skin tone. Yaaasss Juvia’s Place!!!
Let me know if you would purchase this palette? Also, next week is the last post for this series. Can you guess which palette I’ll be reviewing and also giving away?
