Juvia's Place Eyeshadow Palettes – Review and Swatches

Hey Stunners
OMG! I feel like I’ve been AWOL! I just needed time to see to other personal matters and taking a break from sitting in front of the laptop and getting in touch with nature. LOL, Nah I’m just joking, it’s too damn cold to do that. I hope all my followers are keeping well and staying warm in this freezing cold weather.
Today I decided that I’ll do a 2 in 1 post seeing as I managed to add both the Juvia’s Place Nubian Green as well as the Juvia’s Place mini Masquerade palettes to my collection. After purchasing the Juvia’s Place The Saharan palette I knew that I needed to get my hands on a few more of these palettes. I was totally impressed with The Saharan palette and knew that I wouldn’t be disappointed with these two. If you haven’t read my review on The Saharan palette then please click here.

I’m sure so many of you wonder if this brand is really worth all the hype. To answer your question, “Yes it is!

Packaging:

What really makes this brand stand out from the rest is its artistic design of Queen Nefertiti and their colourful yet simple packaging.
The Nubian green comes in a sturdy cardboard with a bright green casing that doesn’t feel cheap at all and has a magnetic closure.

” JUVIA’S PLACE NUBIAN PALETTE OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION:

Juvia’s Nubian eye shadow palette features, the most essential collection of neutral colours. Our highly pigmented colours blend flawlessly and has incredible wear-ability power. This palette is easy for everyday wear into night. This is a must-have palette great for all skin-types.
Nubian eye shadow palette features 4 Transition Matte and 8 Shimmery Pearl Textured Colours.”

The Masquerade palette come in a magenta and yellow sturdy cardboard packaging. None of the eyeshadow palettes has a mirror which is a little unfortunate but if you consider the price you’re paying for the great quality of the eyeshadows, then you would understand why they chose to exclude a mirror.

” JUVIA’S PLACE MASQUERADE PALETTE OFFICIAL DESCRIPTION:

This product was inspired by African Festivities filled with enormous joy and spiritual activities. The Bold Colours represent costumes used in festivals. The nude and browns represent the African soil and environments. The perfect balance of bolds and neutrals”

Formula and shades:

The formulae of these eyeshadows are absolutely beautiful. They are all creamy, are so easy to blend out and the pigmentation is out of this world. Consistency is key and Juvia’s Place got it right with all 3 of these that I currently own.
The Nubian Green shade selection complements each other soo well that you won’t have a problem creating a look for day or night using only this palette. It is made up of neutral warm toned shadows but the shades are unfortunately not named. I’ll try my best to describe them by row. Also, just a little note to not dip your brush into the pans too hard or else you will experience some fallout.

The Masquerade is a perfect balance between neutrals and bright shades. It contains 5 mattes (ZOBO, BURKINA, ADA, ZULU, FULANI), 2 mattes with microglitter (BORI, CAIRO) and 9 metallics (CHI, MALI, DALIA, ZOLA, MAKEDA, CALABAR, GIZA, DAHIA and CASABLANCA). So if you’re looking to experiment with bold colours but not looking to buy a palette that just contains bright colours then this would be ideal.

Final Verdict:

This brand has really blown me away with its quality and affordability. These eyeshadows have to be my 2nd favourite from all the eyeshadow palettes I own. I won’t mention my favourite (High-end), will save it for another post.
The formulae of the eyeshadows are super soft and buttery, insanely pigmented, apply beautifully and are extremely long wearing. What else can a girl ask for?

I absolutely recommend these palettes, to anyone, whether you’re a newbie or a makeup artist. The masquerade palette has the perfect selection of shades which includes brilliant pops of colours and neutrals that are anything but boring. The Nubian green is such a well rounded warm neutral palette.
